Our therapists can help you recover from surgeries, sports injuries and general pain. Muscle/Tendon strains are very common due to too much tension being put through the muscle/tendon through working out, sports, or improper mechanics/posture. Fibers of the muscles/tendons become disorganized leading to increased risk of further injuries. In Physical Therapy, we work to realign the fibers to regain strength, reduce pain and a healthy muscle tension balance between the injured muscle/tendon and its opposition muscle. We do this through exercises (strengthening and stretching), dry needling, modalities, myofascial release techniques, and correcting potential postural/form deficits. Muscles/tendons that are commonly injured are the achilles, biceps, back, hamstrings and wrist extensors.
