Manual Therapy in Abilene, TX

Improve Mobility

Spinal manipulation is effective in a number of conditions in the musculoskeletal realm.  This may include pain, stiffness, or specific injury.  During manipulation, a cavitation or “pop” is often felt by the patient.  High velocity low amplitude forces, or HVLA, is the most used technique by physical therapists.  These forces are comfortable and targeted, in an effort to avoid discomfort and treat only the desired tissue/area.  It is important that both of these techniques are effective in the correct situations, and are another “tool in the box” to provide patients the most relief and return to function.
